STI STUDENT HOUSING
ASSISTANT HOUSING MANAGER
This position will be responsible for the daily operation of the STI student housing complexes (approximately 200 residents).
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Ensure all housing policies, rules, and guidelines are followed as established by STI.
- Maintain a respectful and safe living environment for students.
- Assist in recruiting students for housing and assign students to apartments.
- Inspect and maintain living areas and grounds and report maintenance work to Housing Manager.
- Address emergency situations promptly and appropriately.
- Hold meetings to periodically communicate campus information and to assess the needs of residents.
- Determine damage to facilities and assess charges when appropriate.
- Complete all necessary documents relative to the student housing function.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree.
- Work experience with student housing and/or residential management.
- Experience in working with post secondary students preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and public/group speaking skills
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to pass criminal background check.
Position must live in the housing complex and requires day and evening hours, and some holidays. Hours include scheduled office hours, periodic checks of the housing facility throughout the evening, and hours necessary to assist students with issues, concerns, or disciplinary actions.
