Avera and Southeast Tech Help to Fight the H1N1 Flu

H1N1 Vaccines at Southeast Tech a Success

STI H1N1 Vaccine Line

Avera Administers Free State H1N1 Vaccines at Southeast Tech

The state Department of Health provided the H1N1 vaccine for high-risk groups – all kids from 5 to 18 years, young adults from 19 to 24, and adults from 25 to 64 with chronic health conditions – on the Southeast Tech campus.

The vaccine was provided for 440 individuals free of charge on uesday, November 10, from 11 am – 2 pm. According to Southeast Tech President Jeffrey Holcomb, “It is imperative that we as educators can provide a safe, healthy environment to our students. Having a free vaccine clinic on our campus meets that goal and the more opportunities we have to connect to the state the better.”
