Helpful Information

STI Conditional Sales Agreement Cancelation Policy

If a student completes a Conditional Sales Agreement Contract, the student is required to fulfill the obligations of that contract.

STI Termination Policy

If a student terminates from STI, the remaining balance of the laptop hardware will be billed upon termination.  Students must contact the STI Helpdesk per the terms of the Conditional Sales Agreement contract to remove STI licensed software and to complete the official Bill of sale to transfer ownership to the student.

Stolen Laptops

A stolen laptop is a criminal offense and must be reported to law enforcement and the STI Helpdesk immediately.  The STI Helpdesk will provide serial numbers to the student for law enforcement.  Students will be required to complete a theft report with the police department.  Students will be responsible for the remaining payments under the Conditional Sales Agreement contract.

Laptop Damage

Students are responsible for repair charges not covered under STI’s warranty or accidental damage coverage.

Insure your Laptop

STI highly recommends that students insure their laptop against loss or theft, which can usually be done through a homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy.
