Online Admissions Requirements

Entrance and Placement Testing
As one of the steps to be admitted to an Online degree at Southeast Tech, we require that all applicants complete either an ACT Assessment or an Accuplacer Assessment.
The ACT Assessment
The ACT test assesses students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work. The test covers four areas: English, Math, Reading, and Science. The writing section of the ACT exam is NOT required for admission to Southeast Tech. For additional information about days, times and locations of testing centers, please refer to the ACT website.
The Accuplacer Assessment

The Accuplacer is a placement test that is comprised of several subject areas:  reading comprehension, writing, mathematics and elementary algebra. It is a placement test designed to place students into the appropriate course(s).

The test is adaptive, which means that the difficulty of the test will tend to increase, depending on the student's success in earlier portions of Accuplacer.
