General Education Development (GED) Preparation
The complete GED is divided into four sub tests: Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics. GED participants interested in enrolling in a GED preparation program must attend a scheduled orientation session. Orientation is offered on Tuesday evenings beginning at 4:15 PM and ending at 8:00 PM. Students must be on time and attend the entire orientation session.
Orientation on March 3, 17, 24, and 31. There will be no GED Orientation on Tuesday, March 10.
OFFICIAL GED TESTING
To register for official GED testing or to request a transcript go to www.ged.com
. (Enrollment in a GED preparation program is not a requirement for official GED testing.)
*Students must present a government issued photo ID with birth date each time they take an official GED test. A payment of $32.50 per subtest is due at the time of registration.
New GED Test Released in 2014
On January 1, 2014 a new GED (General Educational Development) test was released. GED Tests taken before January 1, 2014 that did not result in GED completion have expired. Please contact the Hovland Learning Center at 605.367.7997 for more information.
The Hovland Learning Center will be closed February 14 and 16, March 9 - 14, April 4 and 6, May 25 - 30.
