The following services are available to assist you in your journey at Southeast Tech.
Students may purchase books, supplies and apparel in the newly renovated Southeast Tech Bookstore, located in the George S. Mickelson Center. School themed items are also available for purchase. Gift cards may be purchased through the bookstore and are always welcome – particularly during finals week! Check out the online bookstore here.
Your first year at Southeast Tech is filled with many opportunities and choices. The Student Success Center can guide you in making this year a success! All new students with less than nine successful post-secondary credits are required to complete a Student Success Seminar course taught by a Student Success Advisor. The instructor will become the student’s Success Advisor for the entire time they are at Southeast Tech. The course helps develop academic success skills, assists students in connecting with other students on campus and instructs students on the availability of Southeast Tech services and how to access them.
The Southeast Tech Library provides access to electronic and print resources for research and recreational reading, including OverDrive eBooks. Students can find comfortable seating areas and large booths to accommodate groups. Students can access library resources off-campus with a log-in that is provided on the STInet Library page (Log into STInet > Students > Student Support & Services > Student Success Center > Library).
The Southeast Tech IT Support Center provides on-site technical support to all students and hardware support to students who have a Southeast Tech laptop. Not all students are required to purchase a Southeast Tech laptop. Be sure to check out the Technology Requirements for your program. If you need help with your computer, you log in to TASKS using your Southeast Tech email address and password to request assistance.
The Scarbrough Childcare Center accommodates up to 60 children from infants to preschoolers and is competitively priced within the Sioux Falls area. As advocates for children, our mission is to provide high quality care and education to the children of the students and staff that attend Southeast Tech and also to the employees of the Sioux Falls School District.
Career Services are available to assist students transitioning from school to work by informing them of part-time employment opportunities while attending Southeast Tech and full-time career opportunities upon completion of their program.
Disability Services at Southeast Tech are here to ensure that students, faculty, and staff with disabilities have equal access to all programs and activities offered in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, and the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008.
Southeast Tech offers free, confidential counseling services to students. Traditional and Distance Counseling Services are available for a wide range of issues related to one’s personal life and for success as a student. Contact us if you would like more information on counseling, or would like to set up an appointment.
The Registrar's Office is available to assist students with multiple requests including providing Official Transcripts and ensuring that graduation requirements are clearly stated for each program.
Walk-in tutoring is free of charge to all enrolled Southeast Tech students. The service is designed to give individualized attention to students who want to improve in their coursework. Students can access tutoring by simply checking the tutor schedule to see when the tutors are available. The Southeast Tech tutoring program is a peer-to-peer tutoring program and uses top notch Southeast Tech students as tutors.
At the Business Office, students can pay their bills, pick up refund checks, create payment plans and check on their VA benefits.
Students have 24/7 access to their semester grades, financial aid, bill for their courses, unofficial transcripts, degree audit and much more available on the STInet. A student’s username and password will not be given to parents, but the student may complete a Release of Information to create a login for their parents and authorize them access to specific areas of the student record.
