New for Fall 2012!
The Welding diploma at Southeast Tech introduces students to welding safety, fundamentals of shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding and plasma arc welding. Students are instructed in the setup and safe operation of welding equipment for various welding processes. In addition, ferrous and non-ferrous materials and the welding of these materials in all positions and with various joint designs are introduced. The second semester of this two-semester program is used to develop skills in two welding processes, with the goal of successfully completing an American Welding Society welding certification test.

What is Welding?
