Diesel Technicians use a variety of skills to prepare, diagnose, repair and maintain diesel engines. To keep engines running smoothly, a Diesel Technician uses test equipment to evaluate and troubleshoot running engines. In addition to engines, Diesel Technicians also need comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, transmissions and air conditioning.
