Southeast Tech Offers Free Basic Tax Return Preparation Assistance
Southeast Tech is pleased to announce that they are once more sponsoring the national VITA program (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) with faculty and student volunteer assistance.

Volunteers have been certified through a testing process with the IRS and will open up shop on January 28 in room MC207 through April 4. Assistance will be available Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:30pm to 4:00pm and Saturdays on January 28, February 25 and March 24 from 9am – 1pm. In addition, assistance will be available at the Siouxland Main Library at 200 N Dakota Ave on Mondays, February 6 – April 9 from 5pm – 8pm and Saturdays only in February from 10am- 3pm.

Individuals needing assistance with the preparation of basic returns with income levels less than $50,000 are eligible. Refunds can be expected to be direct deposited as early as 10 days from the day of acceptance by the IRS. A photo ID and Social Security card are required and a copy of your last year’s return is recommended.
