Damage Deposit
Current residents have already paid the $350.00 damage deposit. That deposit will not be refunded to those who sign a new contract and will instead remain on their account for the duration of the new contract.

Only damage charges assessed at a resident’s final check-out will be deducted from the damage deposit. The damage deposit will not be used to pay for damages, fines or other fees incurred during the duration of residency. Such charges, fines and fees will be applied to a student’s account at the time they occur with payment expected within two weeks.

Those failing to complete a check-out with housing staff automatically forfeit the entire damage deposit. Residents planning to return to housing for a future session who fail to complete a check-out with an STI housing official will be assessed a fine of $350.00. This fine, equivalent to the original damage deposit, will be placed on the student account.
