Donor Support will Help STC Recruit, Retain and Graduate more Qualified Students for Sioux Falls and the Region

Southeast Technical College and its Foundation are committed to growth, innovation, responsiveness and creating partnerships to develop qualified a workforce for Sioux Falls and the region.

For years, South Dakota has needed more technical college graduates. The creation of the South Dakota Board of Technical Education (BOTE) and the Build Dakota Scholarship program have provided avenues to invest in and support technical education. But, South Dakota and the region need even more technically educated people to grow. Consider:

  • Nearly one-third of Sioux Falls graduating high school seniors in 2022 did not enroll in any form of higher education.
  • More than 40% of STC's students are Pell-eligible.
  • It is estimated that by 2030, 88% of a jobs will require a postsecondary credential.
  • In South Dakota, 88% of technical college graduates stay in the state after graduating.

Donor support of Campaign NEXT will help STC recruit, retain and graduate more qualified students to answer the needs of Sioux Falls and the region. Campaign NEXT's goals are directly supportive of Vision 2025 - STC's strategic plan.
