Dr. Fenecia Homan is the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls, where she leads the development and delivery of high-quality technical education programs that prepare students for the current and future workforce. She is committed to advancing student success by aligning curriculum, technology and industry partnerships to meet evolving career and community needs.
Dr. Homan previously served as the Dean of the Governors Cyber Academy and K-12 Initiatives at Dakota State University in Madison. She led a collaborative effort between state government, school districts and the university to create and implement a cyber academy that expanded awareness of and access to cyber education and career pathways to students throughout the state of South Dakota.
Prior to Dakota State, Dr. Homan spent 10 years at Southeast Technical College, first as a mathematics and physics instructor and then as an administrator overseeing accreditation, assessment, institutional effectiveness and the Professional Studies academic team. She began her education career in rural North Dakota as a 7th-12th grade math teacher.
