Student Success Center

Your first year at Southeast Technical College is filled with many opportunities and choices. The Student Success Center can guide you in making your time at Southeast Tech a success. We have an array of resources to guide you – from a library with study space to a team of advisors to help coach, mentor and inspire you. Southeast Tech also offers tutoring, counseling and accessibility services. All Student Success services are housed in the Mickelson Center.

Visiting Campus During the Pandemic

When you visit campus, please be aware of additional health and safety protocols Southeast Tech has implemented. When you visit the Admissions, Financial Aid and Student Success Offices, here is what you can expect:

  • Southeast Technical College is a face mask-required institution. Employees, students and guests are required to wear masks.
  • Guests will check in at the Information Desk in the Mickelson Center.
    • A temperature scan is required at check in.
  • Housing tours are not offered at this time. Please utilize online options with our housing tour, housing information section and interactive map
  • Program tours will be conducted with minimal contact.

Student Success Seminar

All new students with less than nine successful post-secondary credits are required to complete a Student Success Seminar course taught by a Student Success Advisor. The instructor will become the student’s Success Advisor for the entire time they are at Southeast Tech. The course helps develop academic success skills, assists students in connecting with other students on campus and instructs students on the availability of Southeast Tech services and how to access them.

Southeast Tech’s library provides students and staff access to electronic and print resources for research, coursework and recreational reading, and has a helpful and dedicated staff to help you with your research and study efforts. Library resources may be accessed off campus through myTech with approved login credentials.

Student Counseling

Southeast Tech offers free, confidential counseling services to students. Traditional and Distance Counseling Services are available for a wide range of issues related to one’s personal life and for success as a student.

Disability Services

Southeast Technical College is committed to providing services and support that ensure students can access and participate in all the activities, programs and services available to them. Our services are open to students with a qualifying and documented learning, physical or psychological disability. To receive accommodations, students must have a documented, qualified disability.

We want to see you succeed. We know that our students lead busy lives, and sometimes need additional academic help with one or more courses. Southeast Technical College offers enrolled students both on-site and on-line tutoring options to help you get to where you need to be.
