Thom Adamson

Thomas Adamson started teaching at Southeast Tech in fall 2025. Before joining STC, Thom worked for 18 years as a science communicator at the U.S. Geological Survey Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center. He wrote web copy, produced outreach materials, conducted tours and hosted and produced a podcast. In addition to that content and communication experience, Thom has written more than 150 nonfiction children’s books in a variety of formats including low level readers, graphic novel and choose your own adventure. He also worked at a publishing company as an editor and team leader. Before working in these industries for the past 25 years, Thom was a Teaching Assistant and adjunct faculty at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
