Student Government Supports Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Southeast Tech’s Student Government Association wrapped up its Pennies for Patients
fundraiser this week. The group raised $1,228.13 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
to aide its efforts to fight blood cancer in children.
The fundraiser took place over a two-week period, drawing students, faculty and staff
from departments across campus into a competition to collect pennies.
The winning program areas are:
3rd Place - Licensed Practical Nursing and Registered Nurse ($164.90)
2nd Place - Civil Engineering and Land Surveying ($300)
1st Place - Architectural Engineering ($564)
Other participating departments are:
Construction Management - $87.25
Early Childhood - $48.49
Southeast Tech Bookstore - $28.92
Media/DMP - $22.80
CIS Programs - $12.27
