Certificate - 15 Credits

A Computer Support specialist has strong troubleshooting skills and technical proficiency related to a variety of computer network operating systems, software, desktop operating systems and attached peripherals. 

Your coursework at Southeast Tech will explore Microsoft Office, teach basic computer construction, and enhance your diagnostic abilities.

With a Computer Support certificate from STC, you will:  

  • Understand Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint  
  • Know computer construction, troubleshooting and wiring  
  • Understand the OSI model and TCP/IP  
  • Know use/function of LAN and WAN  
  • Install, configure and operate network software

What is a Computer Support Specialist?  

Technology is ubiquitous in today’s world. As an I.T. support technician, your role is to oversee computer systems and install or make minor repairs to software, hardware or other equipment to ensure the system operates correctly.

Application Process

  • Complete the Southeast Tech application.
  • Select "Non-Degree Seeking" when asked "What kind of student are you?"
  • Once the application is submitted, an Admissions Representative will be in contact.
  • Pay $75 registration fee.
  • Then, STC will complete the registration request and send you an official schedule.

Cost  

Costs for this program are calculated based on a charge of $255 per credit hour, plus applicable fees. Federal Financial Aid is not available for this certificate.
