Southeast Tech Student Assisting Grounds Crew at Fenway Park for World Series

Among Major League Baseball parks, Fenway Park, home to the Boston Red Sox, is about as iconic as they come.

Dubbed "America's Most Beloved Ball Park," Fenway opened in 1912 and has stood strong through more than 100 years of baseball history. This week, a new chapter in Fenway's story will begin when the Red Sox host game one of the 114th World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

It's a chapter of Fenway's history that will also include a member of the Southeast Tech community.

After completing an internship at Fenway last summer, second-year Southeast Tech student Collin Kemper was invited back to serve as a member of Fenway Park's World Series Grounds Crew.

Kemper, a triple major in Horticulture Technology, Sports Turf Management and Landscape Design Technology, talked with KELO-TV about his internship and the opportunity to serve on the World Series grounds crew.
