Name: Milana Arambasic
Age: 24
Hometown: Pancevo, Serbia
What brought you to Sioux Falls?

My parents immigrated to Sioux Falls because there was a war back home. They had the choice of settling in Australia or the United States, and they chose Sioux Falls because we already had family here.

What keeps you in Sioux Falls?

What keeps me in Sioux Falls is the small-town, big-city feel. I always imagined myself moving to a big city. As I graduated college, got connected in the community and started my career, I quickly realized all the “big city” things I craved were already here and fell in love with Sioux Falls. The best part? Having a work commute of 10 to 15 minutes!

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

My job entails creating and implementing strategies for digital platforms such as Facebook, Google and YouTube, to name a few. From learning about algorithm changes and staying up-to-date on best practices, what works today might not work tomorrow for digital advertisers. My favorite part about this role is that I am sharpening my problem-solving skills while being creative.

How did you get connected to your industry?

I attended Southeast Tech and graduated with a degree in sales and marketing since I knew this degree would be beneficial in any line of work. Initially, I wanted to work in real estate but soon realized marketing was second nature to me, so I went on to get both my bachelor’s degree and MBA through the University of Sioux Falls. While I was in school, I had the opportunity to intern and work at a marketing agency. That’s how I became connected and found my passion for the industry.

Describe Profile by Sanford in three words.

Innovative. Transformational. Personalized.

What is something someone might be surprised to learn about you?

I recently became a citizen!

What’s your favorite way to give back to your community?

I love to give back to the community by volunteering, serving on boards and shopping local.

What’s one business you’d like to see in Sioux Falls that isn’t here now?

Drybar!

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In the next five years, I see myself in a marketing leadership role that is making an impact for clients and in the community, owning a couple of businesses and starting a family.
