Surgical Technology Instructor Selected for Board

Josette Otto, the director of Southeast Technical College’s Surgical Technology program, has been selected to sit on the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Health Professions Competitive Events Board.

HOSA is a national student organization whose main focus is 100% healthcare. One of its cornerstones is its Competitive Events program that gives students the opportunity to complete projects, analyze problems, and practice procedures all relating to healthcare. Through the program, students gain confidence and understanding about healthcare professions.

Otto is in her first year of teaching at Southeast Technical College and is also a graduate of the STC Surgical Technology program.
