Students from multiple healthcare programs--including Nursing, EMT, Behavioral and Mental Health Technician and Invasive Cardiovascular Technology--teamed up for a full-scale emergency response drill simulating real-world disasters like tornadoes, plane crashes and bus collisions.

Student Spotlight: Mother of Five Pursues Nursing Dreams at Southeast Tech
Ashley Krull was 10 years old when she decided to become a nurse. Her interest was sparked when the Luverne, Minn., native helped her grandfather recover from knee replacement surgery. Ashley landed her first job as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) when she was 18 and planned to go to nursing school that fall, but she put school on hold when her life took a different path.
Surgical Technology Students Volunteer at Howard Fall Festival
Six students from the Surgical Technology program at Southeast Technical College volunteered to assist the Sioux Falls Lions Club at the Howard Fall Festival. The students logged nearly 30 community service hours assisting with vision screenings as part of Southeast Tech's annual Service to Community (STC) Days.
Sonography Students Participate in Light the Night
Students from Southeast Technical College's Cardiac, Vascular and Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs participated in Light the Night, an annual event hosted by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to raise funds to end blood cancer.
