The Southeast Technical College Foundation board has elected four new members that began 3-year terms on July 1. The STC Foundation, a separate, non-profit entity from the college, manages fundraising, accumulation of new assets and supports STC’s workforce mission.
The four new members are:
- Selene Zamorano, Owner of ZBM and CEO of the South Dakota Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
- Steve Vlk, CEO of Marsh McLennan Agency of Sioux Falls and Fargo
- Luke Tibbetts, VP of Business Banking at First PREMIER Bank
- Dr. Cory Clasemann, incoming President of Southeast Technical College. (The college president has an automatic seat on the Foundation board.)
“We have 19 committed board members who continue to support the workforce mission of the college, as well as service the diversity of our programs and students,” said Stephen Williamson, director of the STC Foundation.
Members can serve two consecutive terms and return to the board after a year off. They are nominated by a current member or Foundation Director and voted on by the board.
Williamson continued, “Selene, Steve, Luke and Dr. Clasemann are exceptional additions to the board and will help us complete the largest comprehensive campaign in school history.”
Campaign NEXT is a $25 million comprehensive campaign that supports STC’s strategic plan. Campaign NEXT started Jan. 1, 2022, and is expected to be completed Dec. 31, 2025. According to Williamson, the campaign is running ahead of schedule and tracking to finish above goal.
