Civil Engineering Technicians work with engineers or registered land surveyors to design and build dams, roads, bridges and other infrastructure in South Dakota and across the nation. Your critical-thinking skills are needed to help engineers spot problems on-site and design solutions that keep projects on schedule and on budget.
Civil engineering also requires strong mathematical skills for analysis, design and troubleshooting. In just two years, you could be starting your career! Other duties for you as a professional civil engineering technician might include:
