Media Design Technology

Associate Degree Program - 66 Credits

Media Design Technology is a deadline-oriented field that will let your creativity show. Do you enjoy translating an idea or words into a visual concept? In just two years, you could be on the job combining art and technology to create websites, advertisements, business reports or brochures. 

As a Graphic Designer, you will be skilled at various industry design software as well as a strong communicator. 

Your other duties might include:

  • Collaborating with writers / web developers
  • Presenting design concepts to stakeholders
  • Incorporating changes from clients or art director
  • Reviewing materials before print / online publication
  • Translating complicated concepts to concise designs 

Strong design is key to selling and marketing, making graphic designers essential to industries such as advertising and promotions, marketing and public relations. As an in-demand graphic designer, you also will need to understand cross-platform issues, print preflighting standards, and design solutions for a variety of media and audiences.
