GED & Hovland Center

The Hovland Learning Center is located in the Mickelson Center and offers an independent learning lab and structured classes to help meet the individuals needs of students. The Center is staffed with qualified, friendly teachers who are always willing to help.

Eligibility Requirements
  • 18 years of age or beyond compulsory attendance age.
  • Valid Social Security Card or comparable documentation to determine immigrant status.

The Hovland Learning Center is funded through the South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation. Eligible students are at least 16 years old and beyond compulsory attendance age, not enrolled in any K-12 schools and possess a valid Social Security Card. The ALC is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We are located in room 250 of the Mickelson Center.
