Medical Assisting Students Participate in HealthConnect Fair
Group Teaches Healthy Habits To the Community
STC Medical Assisting students participated in the HealthConnect Fair at the Sioux
Falls Arena Sept. 24. The students conducted educational demonstrations and led activities
to lead participants to healthy lifestyles. Some of the activities included teaching
hands-only CPR, handwashing, reading food labels and making healthy selections. Students
also demonstrated how to make first aid kits, took blood pressures and assisted in
kidney screenings. The event was attended by several hundred individuals.
