Church on the Street Health and Healing Event for Homeless or Individuals in Poverty

Students from the Medical Assisting Review and Practicum class at Southeast Technical College spent a few hours Saturday doing blood pressure screenings at the Church on the Street Health and Healing Fair. The annual event is a day of pampering for people living without homes or in poverty that includes haircuts, manicures, makeup applications, blood pressure checks, dental screenings, balloon animals, face painting and food, provided free of charge. Nearly 200 individuals participated at the event, which was held at the Multi-Cultural Center in Sioux Falls.
