  • Sociology - 3 credits
  • Veterinary Anatomy & Physiology and Pharmacy II - 4 credits

  • Large Animals II - 3 credits
  • Veterinary Nursing & Diseases - 3 credits 
SPRING SEMESTER
  • Psychology in the Workplace - 3 credits

SUMMER SEMESTER
  • VTNE Review - 1 credit

Admission Criteria  

2 of the following: 
  • ACT: 15 
  • SAT: 830–870 
  • HS GPA: 2.0 GPA 
  • GED: 500 
  • College GPA: 2.0 GPA
  • Professional Discretion
If students do not meet two of the above requirements, they are required to take the Next-Generation ACCUPLACER: 
  • Writing: 243 
  • Arithmetic: 217

 

Additional Program Requirements

Background Check and Drug Screen

Completion of a background check and drug screen are required before program classes start.

Uniforms

Uniforms are required for this program and are available from the Southeast Tech Bookstore.

 

Technology Requirements

Southeast Technical Institute's Veterinary Technician program is a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program. You may purchase a laptop on your own or from the Southeast Tech Support Center.
