Associate Degree Program

The Digital Media Production Technology Associate of Applied Science at Southeast Technical College is a hands-on digital media production degree that prepares students for careers in video production, animation, motion graphics and multimedia design.

This fast-paced, deadline-driven field blends creativity and technology to produce content for film, advertising, social media and online platforms. In just two years, students gain the skills needed to begin careers in digital media, video editing and animation.

Master Industry Software for Video Production and Animation

Students in this digital media program build technical expertise using professional tools used in the media industry. Training includes:

  • Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for design
  • Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and visual effects
  • Adobe Premiere for video editing
  • Autodesk Maya for 3D modeling and animation

Hands-on experience with cameras, lighting, projectors and production equipment prepares students for real-world media environments.

Build Real-World Experience in Digital Media Production

Students develop practical skills through project-based learning that reflects industry expectations. This video production and animation program emphasizes:

  • Collaborating with directors and creative teams
  • Presenting concepts to clients and stakeholders
