Admission Criteria

At least one of the following:

  • High School GPA: 2.5
  • GED: Sub-scores ≥ 145
  • College GPA: 2.0, based on 9+ credits
  • ACT: 17, with 16+ math subscore
  • SAT: 880, with 430+ math subscore

Additional Program Requirements

Safety Test 

During JumpStart or the first week of classes, a safety test will be administered. Students are required to pass with a score of 100% and are allowed three retakes before beginning lab.

Tools are required for this program and are available from the Southeast Tech Bookstore.

Technology Requirements

Southeast Technical College's Electrician program is a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program. You may purchase a laptop on your own or from the Southeast Tech I.T. Support Center.
