How to Apply for Southeast Technical College Housing

Finalize Acceptance into Academic Program
Future Southeast Tech students must be officially accepted into an academic program to be eligible to apply for Housing.

Apply for Housing
The application window for STC Housing is Jan. 1, 2026, to Feb. 28, 2026.
Starting March 1: Applications received after the priority deadline will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once housing is full, students will be added to a waitlist.

Housing Selection
Offers for Fall 2026 housing placements begin early to mid-March.
Preference is given to current housing residents in good standing.

Complete Housing Contract and Pay Deposit
Priority selection: Contract and $500 refundable deposit is due April 1, 2026.
Offers after the priority deadline must be accepted with a paid deposit within two weeks of receiving the offer.

Complete Roommate Matching Survey
Placed students will be provided a link to roommate matching software in mid-April. Students will be notified about their placements and roommates by the end of May.
Waitlist
Students not selected in the lottery will be notified of their waitlist status and placement in mid-March. Should a slot become available in Housing, waitlisted students will be contacted with an offer. Rental amounts are prorated based on move-in date.
Important Dates and Deadlines
- Jan. 1, 2026: The application window opens for housing for the Fall 2026 semester.
- Feb. 28, 2026: Housing application window closes.
- Early- to mid-March 2026: Students selected through a lottery process for housing placement.
- Mid-March 2026: Contracts sent to students.
- April 1, 2026: Contracts due back to STC, and $500 deposit due.
- Mid-April 2026: Roommate matching begins.
- Late May 2026: Building, apartment and bedroom assignments finalized.
- End of May 2026: Students notified of placements and roommates.
- Mid-July 2026: Move-in times scheduled.
- August 16-24, 2026: Move-in week.
