How to Apply for Southeast Technical College Housing

Fall 2027

  1. Finalize Acceptance into Academic Program

    Future Southeast Tech students must be officially accepted into an academic program to be eligible to apply for Housing.

  2. Apply for Housing

    The application for STC Housing opens Nov. 1, 2026.

    First Come, First-Served: Applications received will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once housing is full, students will be added to a waitlist.

  3. Housing Selection

    Students will be selected for Fall 2027 Housing in early March 2027. Preference will be given to students currently residing in Housing who are in good standing.

  4. Complete Housing Contract and Pay Deposit

    Contracts will be sent to selected students in early March 2027. 

    A non-refundable $500 deposit is due. Of that total, $150 is a housing deposit that will be applied to rent. The $500 damage deposit can be recouped upon moving out of STC Housing if there are no damages beyond normal wear and tear of the unit. 

  5. Complete Roommate Matching Survey

    Placed students will be provided a link to roommate matching software mid-April and May 2027. When complete, students will be notified about their placements and roommates by late-May and early June 2027. 

Waitlist

Once STC Housing is full, students will be added to the waitlist. Should a slot become available in Housing, waitlisted students will be contacted with an offer. Rental amounts are prorated based on move-in date.

Important Dates and Deadlines

  • Nov. 1, 2026: Fall 2027-Spring 2028 Housing Application opens.
  • Feb. 28, 2027: Deadline for current residents to indicate their intent to return for Fall 2027.
  • Early March 2027: Contracts sent to students are due back to STC, and $500 deposit due.
  • Mid-April and May 2027: Roommate matching begins.
  • Late May and Early June 2027: Building, apartment and bedroom assignments finalized.
  • End of May and Early June 2027: Students notified of placements and roommates.
  • Mid-July 2027: Move-in times scheduled.
  • Aug. 13-23, 2027: Move-in week.
